Order of Events
Even if you have registered online you will still need to go to the ‘Registration & Bib Collection’ tent to collect your race bib number.
Maps of both routes can be found here:
Large parts of the routes are on public rights of way. Other parts are not. We are fortunate to have been granted access by land owners. Please respect this privilege by keeping to the public rights of way. For details of public rights of way please view on an OS map
You won’t need to memorise the route, we have marshals and signage. Look out for the arrows and ‘red and white’ tape hanging in trees. More details will be given at the race brief just prior to the race start.
Optional alternative finish - Mini Mukker Obstacle Course
As a bit of fun for the kids (and adults) both races have an optional alternative finish, a mini mukker obstacle course. It will be supervised but please take care and be responsible for yourself and other participants.
Serious runners and people not wishing to do the obstacle course can bypass it. Signs will clearly mark the route.
What to bring
Could be cold, could be wet, won’t be hot … People generally feel better when warm and dry. Hats, gloves, towel, spare warm clothing, footwear and socks will be a great help. Can’t guarantee no rain but can guarantee wet feet. Even if the weather forecast is dry (fingers crossed) the fields remain wet and boggy. The school has changing rooms, toilets and bag storage.
Food refreshments and drinks
We will be serving warm food and hot and cold refreshments.
More details will be given during the race brief, we would however like to draw your attention to the following:
- Qualified first aider staff will be attending.
- Any issues or concerns before, during or after the race please see a member of staff, these will be people wearing standard high vis tops.
- Race marshals will be available along the route to assist with any incidents.
- Water station - The 10k route has a water station on Flamstead Lane
- Should at any point you require ‘emergency’ assistance please contact us on 0789 11 47 47 9
If you have any friends or relatives who would like to be a marshall we have places available https://www.kilburnkilometres.co.uk/contact it’s an exciting way to watch the race from the countryside and all help is greatly appreciated!
Looking forward to seeing you.
